A Child’s Toys

A Child’s Toys
Jonathan Moya

The rocking horse is marooned
in a shipwrecked field.

The tents under
the overpass

shudder with
the traffic’s weight,

needles, cigarette butts
replacing badges and campfires—

the jamboree
stripped out.
