Wrinkle-less

Wrinkle-less

I'm seventy and I still
have no wrinkles, no facial map
that says grief, hardships.

They are there,
just hidden in
surgery scars, deafness, neuropathy—

for me to know,
and others to see and hear,
if they read my poems—

one wrinkled
line
at a time.
