Storyline via IMDB:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

Review:

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse proves that lightning can and does strike twice. The first, Spider-Man:Into the Spider-Verse was a staggering, mind-blowing, original, widely recognized as one of the greatest animated feature length films ever made. Across the Spder-Verse succeeds it in every way.

It has perfect tone, one that seamlessly flows from hilarious to devastating; richer character development that gets more complex and fascinating with each new plot twist; the stakes are higher and serious; and it takes big risks that massively pay off. It digs deep into everyone and everything and finds impressive emotional rewards. Fanily dynamics at play in the heart explode outwards until everything encompasses, reflects and is family and self.

Across the Spider-Verse can’t avoid its humanity and the love and pain that drives it. It’s both its web and skeleton in the constant battle between logic and emotion. Its attention to detail bring catharsis, brings us to tears and reckoning, makes it art by any definition and one of the best films this year.
